OUR COMMITMENTS
OUR COMMITMENT TO INCLUSION
Roots to Peaks is a faith-based organization committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children, teens, families, volunteers, and community partners. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other status protected by applicable law. We strive to ensure that every participant has the opportunity to explore, learn, connect, and adventure together in an environment where they feel respected and valued.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
At Roots to Peaks, the safety and well-being of the children, teens, families, volunteers, and community members we serve comes first. We are committed to creating outdoor experiences where participants can explore, learn, and have fun in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. We take our responsibility to protect young people seriously. We are committed to maintaining appropriate safeguards for children and teens participating in our programs. This includes responsible adult supervision, appropriate volunteer screening and background checks, clear expectations for conduct, and practices designed to promote a safe environment for every participant.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CONSERVATION
At Roots to Peaks, we believe the outdoors is a gift from God to be explored, appreciated, and protected. Through hands-on adventures, nature education, and conservation activities, we help children and families build a connection with the natural world and learn to be responsible stewards—respecting wildlife, caring for our surroundings, and leaving every place better than we found it. We believe that when we connect with creation, we discover why it is worth protecting for generations to come.
